From Erista where the path joins the main road I walked to Crowlista, a small village on one end of the Uig sands. Coming down the road there is a marvelous viewpoint across the sands. From here a small green hillock with a couple of stones in the middle of a green swamp by the sea can be seen, another interesting archaeological site.It was low tide so I could walk the beach Traigh nan Sruban. I took more photos of seaweed and collected enough Cockles for a delicoius dinner tonight.Von Erista, wo der Pfad auf die Strasse triff, ging ich nach Crowlista, einem kleinem Ort an einem Ende des Strandes von Uig. Sobald die Strasse hinuntersteigt, weist ein grüner Hügel mit einigen Steinresten inmitten des Feuchtgebietes auf eine weitere interessante archäologische Stelle hin.Da es Ebbe war, konnte ich nicht nur leicht den Strand Traigh nan Sruban entlang wandern auf der Suche nach Seetang, ich konnte auch genug „Cockle“-Muscheln finden um anschließend ein köstliches Abendessen für mich zu kochen.
