10.1.07 A better morning until halfway up to Garynahine heavy snowshowers kept the wipers of the Postbus constantly busy. Luckily it stopped when we hit the main road at Cameron Terrace. At midday the sun came out and turned everything into a beautiful light. On my return journey the roads were clear and only the tops of the hills still slightly powdered. Although quite cold the day turned out to be pleasant. But according to the forcast we will be back to gales again by tonight...

Auf der Fahrt nach Stornoway wurden wir von kräftigen Schneeschauern überrascht, die jedoch ab Cameron Terrace aufhörten. Um die Mittagszeit schaffte die Sonne den Durchbruch und tauchte alles in warmes Licht. Nur noch die Spitzen der höheren Berge waren mit weißem Puder bestäubt. Heute Nacht soll nach Wettervorhersage der nächste kräftige Sturm einsetzen...
